i-SITE National Responsible Camping Campaign

The Cromwell i-SITE has been chosen as one of  only 10 i-SITEs nationwide to take part in a national responsible camping initiative. Funded by i-SITE NZ and Tourism New Zealand, free Wi-Fi is offered at the Cromwell i-SITE which allows visitors to access a short video on responsible camping and directs them to visit camping.org.nz for more information. The i–SITE will also give out a ‘Kete’ to campers who book camping related product.

Ranfurly i-SITE Refurbishment

The Ranfurly i-SITE has re-opened following a refurbishment of the visitor spaces. The Centre has retained its heritage features with new paint, floor coverings and a better internal layout for brochure and gift displays.  Special thanks must go to the Art Deco Museum for providing a temporary location for the i-SITE while the renovations took place.

Welcome Alexandra i-SITE’s Team Leader

There is a new face at the Alexandra i-SITE where we welcome Promil Sharma to his new role as the Team Leader. Promil started his role last week and is quickly learning the ropes and getting out to visit operators. Before moving to Alexandra he completed Tourism studies in Auckland and then worked in the hospitality sector.

Advertising Sales Alert

It has been brought to our attention that an out of region business has produced a ‘Central Otago’ compendium that has a number of errors, omissions and outdated images. The publication states that editorial content is supplied by i-SITE. We can confirm that neither Tourism Central Otago nor our i-SITE’s supported this publication.  If you are approached to advertise in a publication and are not sure about the value of the opportunity feel free to contact the TCO team for advice.
