Regional Funding

Creative New Zealand - Creative Communities Scheme
The Creative Communities Scheme supports and encourages local communities to create and present diverse opportunities to involve people in arts activities. The Scheme has two funding rounds each year and grants are distributed to groups operating within the Central Otago District.

Under the scheme, 'the arts' are broadly defined as 'all forms of creative and interpretative expression'. This includes opportunities for creative participation in theatre, music, visual arts, digital art, applied arts, arts education, Toi Maori, literary workshops, digital storytelling, and many other activities.

Central Otago District Council administers the Creative Communities Scheme. For more information on funding round closing dates and contact details, go to the Central Otago District Council website: Creative NZ Grants.
