About Tourism Central Otago

Tourism Central Otago (TCO) is the Regional Tourism Organisation for Central Otago, and is part of the Central Otago District Council. It is a resource for local Central Otago based tourism businesses as well as the Travel Trade. TCO coordinate and facilitate the marketing of Central Otago as a visitor destination.

General Manager - Dylan Rushbrook

Dylan works twenty hours a week leading the TCO team, including the i-SITEs. Dylan returned to Otago from Auckland in mid-2018 after holding executive roles with SKYCITY Entertainment Group and Heritage & CityLife Hotels. Dylan has several tourism related business interests and is on the board of the Tourism Export Council of New Zealand.

Media and Marketing Manager - Alison Mason

Ali Mason - Tourism Central OtagoAlison Mason (Ali) joined the Tourism Central Otago team in 2006. Ali’s working history includes being the regional manager for a large national airline, marketing for a rural supplier firm, public awareness and community relations for the Department of Conservation. She has also completed formal Travel Industry training and worked in hospitality when her children were small.

Not only is Ali the person to talk to if you want to be involved with TCO’s media programme, she also monitors and reports on the Tourism Strategy actions, is involved with the Central Otago Camping forum and looks after the Community Board promotions grants applications process.

Digital and Social Media Marketing - Anthony 'Antz' Longman

Anthony 'Antz' Longman - Tourism Central OtagoAnthony Longman or 'Antz' as he is more commonly known is our Digital Marketing and Social Media specialist. He brings a varied background to his role which includes; publishing an industry leading white-water kayaking magazine, sports event management, online marketing and contract website/graphic design services. He has instructed outdoor pursuits to a tertiary level and had stints in the tourism and retail industries in Queenstown and Christchurch.

A core part of the Digital Marketing position is managing the Tourism Central Otago online presence on the www.centralotagonz.com website and key external websites such as Tourism New Zealand and TripAdvisor. Antz also manages the Central Otago NZ social media pages to increase awareness of the region.

Trade and Consumer Marketing - Andrea Lauder

Andrea’s background includes 10 years working with Central Otago Pinot Noir Ltd, the marketing arm of the Central Otago Winegrowers Association, profiling their fabulous wines to international markets.  She also has experience in the tourism sector having managed two key Information Centres in Queenstown and having worked in the corporate office of Shotover Jet Ltd.

Andrea and her family moved to Alexandra in 2003 and have now well and truly settled into the Central Otago way of life.
