Tourism Central Otago have signed a Memorandum of Understanding forming the Lower South Marketing Alliance. The alliance sees regional tourism agencies from across the lower South Island come together, along with the major airports in the region. Tourism Central Otago recognises this alliance gives the region and its stakeholders a stronger voice and strength in partnerships.

Initial testing will occur into the South East Queensland market, with a view to extending into both domestic and international markets in the future.
