Nestled under Mt Difficulty along the Kawarau River in Bannockburn this famly owned vineyard endures an unforgiving terrain and a harsh climate. It is this struggle that produces a wine with an intensity flavour and elegance characteristic of central Otago. Like black diamonds, black pearls and black tulips, the black quail is extremely rare. The black quail is the quintessence of refined taste and character, shaped largly by its environment.
